La garde SA (ou SS) de Mitt Romney

L’excelllent et bien informé commentateur US Wayne Madsen décrit pour nous l’entourage de Romney, son apparatus de politique étrangère, – cela, pour le cas où il serait élu, puisqu’on en parle. Aimablement, Wadsen compare ce groupe au Sturmabteilung du NSDAP de Hitler (qu’il n’identifie pas à la SA que ce terme désigne effectivement, mais à la SS, qui désignait l’organisation dite Shutzstaffel). Il s’agit bien entendu d’une image symbolique plus que d’une analogie historique précise… Nous savons que la vertu de notre époque post-postmoderniste est en carton trempé et en acier mâché.

Cela écrit sans conséquence, il faut poursuivre en observant qu’il s’agit du groupe le plus radicalement extrémiste parmi l’establishment extrémiste, américaniste certes, mais l’on pourrait même dire américaniste-sioniste ou américaniste-israélien, tant la plupart de ses membres sont dans cette connexion qui a caractérisé en très grande partie l’administration GW Bush. Romney, ce serait donc un retour au climat Bush, ou à la méthode Bush, ou au bordel Bush, mais dans une situation où l’on ne peut guère faire pire (manque de moyens, crise économique, etc.) que ce qui est fait par Obama, sorte de faux-nez type GW Bush-II. Une élection de Romney donnerait donc, aussitôt, une image d’hyper-maximalisme que le vernis badigeonné par le chœur des libéraux progressistes sur l’icône BHO a contribué à dissimuler. La situation en serait donc plus claire, l’impuissance et la paralysie du gouvernement, la maladresse et le désordre de la politique, jusqu’à la folie de la maniaco-dépression, encore bien mieux exposées à nos regards attentifs et attendris. En plus, on aurait l’avantage de la modernité up to date, puisque nombre de ces braves gens du groupe ont décidé que la Russie ne s’appelait pas “Russie”, mais bien “Union Soviétique”…

Madsen détaille cette équipe, ce groupe d’influence autour de Romney dans un long article de Strategic-Culture.org, le 4 août 2012, sous le titre «Mitt Romney’s Sturmabteilung».

«Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has assembled as the core of his national security and foreign policy advisory team some of the most right-wing and militaristic members of the Bush-Cheney administration. In many ways, the hawkish Romney advisers represent a virtual Sturmabteiling (SS), or Nazi-like “Storm detachment” of the Republican Party, a vanguard that ensures neo-conservative doctrinal discipline throughout Republican ranks.

»In a case of regressive amnesia, a number of Romney’s foreign policy advisers are stuck in the past and continue to speak of the danger posed by the “Soviet Union,” which has not existed for over twenty years. A case in point is Romney foreign policy adviser Richard Williamson, a longtime neo-conservative fixture in the Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush administrations, including being named special envoy to Sudan in 2008.

»Williamson is also a member of the board of the International Republican Institute (IRI), an adjunct of the Republican Party that is partly funded by Central Intelligence Agency funds laundered through the National Endowment for Democracy and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Williamson is also connected to “democracy” projects funded by hedge fund tycoon George Soros, particularly through Williamson’s affiliation as a trustee with the Soros-funded Freedom House. Williamson, in recent criticism of the Obama administration's policy regarding Syria, stated that Syria is “strategically important to the Soviet Union.” […]

…Bla bla bla, – le pire est développé en détails, tant dans les thèses proposées que dans les personnalités nommées… Pour ces dernières, il s’agit de neocons divers, des certifiés et authentifiés, ou bien des apparentés de belle facture et juste réputation ; on va donc des Dov Zakheim et James Woolsey, jusqu’aux fous absolus tels Frank Gaffney et John Bolton, et jusqu’à des vieilleries récupérées de l’époque Reagan, comme John Lehman, secrétaire à la Navy dans les années 1980, lui qui approcha une US Navy de 600 grandes unités de combat (moins de 250 aujourd’hui). (Mais Lehman a montré sa verdeur continuée et accentuée en présidant depuis la commission officielle d’enquête sur 9/11, avec le succès d’estime qu’on sait.) Plus ils sont de fous, plus nous rirons.

Romney’s foreign policy spokesperson is Dan Senor, the U.S. Coalition Provisional Authority’s mouthpiece in Baghdad and a noted pro-Israeli hawk. It was from information derived from Senor’s racist anti-Arab screed, “Start-Up Nation,” a book that praises Israel’s economic policies, which Romney infuriated Palestinians by telling an audience in Israel that because Arabs are culturally inferior to Jews, it accounted for the Palestinians’ poverty in comparison with the economic success enjoyed by Israel’s Jews. Romney’s comments came after two Israeli Jews set fire to themselves and died in protest over Israel’s economic policies that favor a wealthy elite over the nation’s working class and pensioners.

»Romney’s father, Michigan Governor George P. Romney, a 1968 Republican presidential candidate, said, “When I came back from Viet Nam, I'd just had the greatest brainwashing that anybody can get.” Romney, announcing his opposition to the failed U.S. military intervention in Vietnam, claimed that after he studied the situation on his own, he realized he had been led astray by Pentagon propagandists during his recent trip to South Vietnam. Today, his son, Mitt, cannot see that he has been brainwashed by a crew of professional propagandists who serve the interests of the Pentagon and Israel.»
