On ne s’ennuie pas... Enfin, qui ne comprendrait qu’il se passe quelque chose d’intense et d’un peu incompréhensible (sinon par le chaos) dans le parti républicain US, – en attendant de n’y plus rien comprendre du côté démocrate, comme l’a très bien compris Sa Majesté Sortante Obama ? Il y a un étrange ballet en trio entre des “pointures” de l’establishment républicain ou apparentés, c’est-à-dire John Boehner (ancien Speaker de la Chambre), Lindsey Graham (le “sénateur fou” qui veut attaquer tout le monde, partout à la fois) et Ted Cruz, l’adversaire de The Donald.

• D’abord, il y a les déclarations de John Boehner, au cours d’une conférence à l’université de Stanford, mercredi dernier. Il traite Ted Cruz de “plus misérable fils de pute avec qui j’ai eu à travailler” (“miserable son of a bitch”, ou sonavabitch comme résumait le général Patton). Qui plus est, il suggère que Cruz n’est autre que le Diable en personne, “Lucifer en chair et en os” comme il le précise. Par ailleurs, Boehner se dit bon ami de Trump, pour lequel il votera, et il prévoit qu’Hillary sera impliquée (emailgate) et que les démocrates pourraient nous sortir le vice-président Joe Biden comme candidat-minute au dernier moment tandis qu’Obama versera consciencieusement de l’huile sur le feu... » Expressing his opinion of former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Boehner impersonated Clinton, saying “Oh, I’m a woman, vote for me,” suggesting that the candidate has relied on identity politics. Boehner predicted that Clinton would be indicted for mishandling top-secret and confidential documents, including storing the documents on a private email server. In predicting Clinton’s downfall, Boehner suggested that Americans may see the resurgence of Vice President Joe Biden. “Don’t be shocked if two weeks before the convention, here comes Joe Biden parachuting in and Barack Obama fanning the flames to make it happen,” said Boehner. »

• On a vu les drôles de réaction à la sortie très-offensive de Boehner, notamment le “je suis ami avec les deux” de Ryan, le nouveau Speaker de la Chambre, et le “Je pense que Boehner était juste honnête” lorsqu’il parlait de Cruz dans les termes où il l’a fait, selon le porte-parole de la Maison-Blanche. Là-dessus on peut enregistrer les réactions de Lindsay Graham, les yeux écarquillés par l’incompréhension, parce qu’il est à la fois un ami de Cruz et un ami de Boehner. Pour faire bref, selon Graham : 1) il y a une guerre civile chez les républicains, et 2) avec Trump on aura une seconde attaque 9/11...
