La Constitution est-elle autre chose que du “papier-cul”?

Doug Thompson, éditeur du site Capitol Hill Blues, se délecte des dernières nouvelles concernant l’évolution de l’humeur de GW Bush. La dernière en date concerne le jugement expéditif de GW concernant la Constitution des Etats-Unis. Il n’y a rien qui doive étonner, ni indigner particulièrement. Tout cela est complètement conforme à l’évolution des choses, à la qualité de l’évolution politique et ainsi de suite. Plus rien ne contient l’humeur et les réflexes primaires de ces gens.

Cela se passe au moment où les dirigeants des parlementaires républicains sont venus voir GW Bush pour discuter d’aménagements au “Patriot Act”, et de son renouvellement. Doug Thompson nous rapporte la scène, en ne prenant aucun gant pour décrire la démarche de ces gens (« the Constitution of the United States is little more than toilet paper stained from all the shit that this group of power-mad despots have dumped on the freedoms that “goddamned piece of paper” used to guarantee »). Sa considération pour la direction du système équivaut à celle qu’on affiche pour une bande de gangsters minables mais installés à la bonne place pour exercer un racket sur le bien public.
