Les dessous coquins de l’accord de Doha

Un court article de Al Ahram, quotidien égyptien proche des militaires, dévoile les dessous de la conférence de Doha, au cours de laquelle fut mise en place la nouvelle structure de l’opposition syrienne, c’est-à-dire ce rassemblement hétéroclite de diverses tendances soutenues par divers pays ou groupes souvent étrangers, et n’ayant guère de connexions avec l’opposition intérieure syrienne. Sans surprise, on comprend que cette nouvelle “structure”, qui n’est rien d’autre qu’un montage, est une pure création du bloc BAO, et plus précisément du Qatar et des USA.

Les conditions de cette conférence, surtout, sont intéressantes. L’accord ne s’est pas fait au forceps, il s’est fait pratiquement “à la mitraillette”, les délégués présents étant avertis qu’ils ne sortiraient pas de la salle de conférence sans un accord, avec tout le reste à l’avenant. Il s’agit d’une démocratie de type-18 Brumaire, qui témoigne essentiellement, à cet égard, de l’essoufflement de la politique du bloc BAO réduite aux opérations de force du type des congrès bolchéviques, et pourtant de l’entêtement absolument catégorique et totalement aveugle de ces mêmes pays de poursuivre sur la voie qu'on connaît depuis un an et demi. Mais même cette formulation semble déplacée, tant elle semble suggérer un peu de volonté, appuyé sur quelques touches de compréhension des buts poursuivis. Il n’y a rien dans cet imbroglio parcouru d'impasses qui ressemble à ceci ou cela, mais bien un déchaînement aveugle, déployé par le Système, pour poursuivre coûte que coûte et sans un instant de préoccupation pour le résultat possible ou probable, dans la même direction. Il s’agit d’une mécanique travestie en politique, agissant avec les moyens brutaux de la mécanique. Parmi les employés modèles, on citera la paire Hollande-Fabius, impayable, inoxydable, absolument sans un pli, sans le pli de la moindre nuance ou de la plus petite hésitation pour laisser un peu de place à la réflexion. (En effet, la France est le premier pays à reconnaître la nouvelle organisation.) A l'inverse, on notera sans surprise l'extrême réserve de l'Egypte.

«Knowledgeable sources in the Syrian opposition revealed the secrets of the last hours of the marathon negotiations and discussions which took place between the various parties in Doha before reaching an agreement over the formation of a unified political body… The sources said to Al-Ahram that some sort of house arrest was imposed on the various sides of the opposition, and the Qatari organizers of the conference said to them: You will not leave before you sign. Massive pressures were thus exerted, until the oppositionists eventually signed the accord. Al-Ahram has learned that the debates went on in a closed room from Saturday evening until a little before dawn on Sunday, and that the representatives of the United States, the supporting European states, the Emirates and the Qataris were following the meetings in Doha up-close, until the agreement was signed on Sunday night.

»The Syrian opposition sources wondered about the reason behind the absence of a representative for Egypt to follow up on the meetings. But still, according to the sources, suspicions are still surrounding the issue of whether or not the Western powers which supported the agreement will meet their promise and provide the opposition Free Syrian Army with qualitative and sophisticated weapons to face the regular troops, especially in the absence of any guarantees for that. One of the sources said he did not expect to see the Free Army provided with weapons, assuring that if this does not take place, the new agreement will be doomed to fail. He indicated that the signing of the agreement aimed at eliminating the West’s pretexts not to arm the opposition because it is not unified.

»The sources also revealed that one of the main points of dispute witnessed during the meetings between the National Council headed by George Sabra and the initiative committee headed by Riad Saif revolved around the arming of the Syrian opposition, as the National Council insisted on having specific guarantees for the Free Army’s reception of sophisticated weapons from the West before joining the agreement… On the other hand, Riad Seif assured he received promises from the sponsoring states that in case the opposition unified and a temporary government is formed on the ground inside the liberated areas in Syria, this government will be immediately recognized and supported on all possible levels.»
